The Grand Central market is located in Downtown Los Angeles, CA.  The Market is best known for their vast varieties of appealing foods and desserts.  This is a wonderful place for tourists and locals to feel welcome and always feel free to enjoy a delicious meal.

Now, it isn’t just only about meals that make this place so wonderful, it is their creative ways of engaging people to know more about the market and bring people together.

Firstly, on my trip to the Grand Central Market, I was completely shocked to see so many people. I have never seen that many people get in line for a simple donut. I asked myself if they ever got impatient from waiting in line for a long time. Although, from later being in their position, if you’re craving something so sugary you’d stay in that line until you get your reward.

I walked around and for those who don’t like being around crowded spaces, I did feel a bit weird but you can always go at a calming time which is on weekday mornings.  Shortly after, I noticed people taking pictures of themselves with the background of the illuminating light signs and the Jarritos tunnel.

Now, let’s discuss receiving food.  There are different types of cultural gastronomy that the market provides such as hispanic, asian, mediterranean, american, etc.. The market really brings in diverse communities around the world to attract people who embrace the tasty foods of  their cultures. There are many different varieties of food to pick from.

My favorite place I picked out to dine is lucky bird. Their burgers are magnificently enjoyable. Once I took a bite out of the burger my taste buds were blessed with the crispy and juicy chicken. It was a bit pricey so my pockets were empty but my stomach sure was full. Afterwards, I had to end the meal by stopping by the donut shop called “donut man” to get a nice chocolate donut with cream filling. It was sweet but not too sweet which is perfect.

The environment is pretty busy; it’s as if Times Square was inside the market. There were people with their phones taking pictures and videos of themselves doing the peace sign in front of the Jarritos tunnel. It brought me joy to see people find happiness by bonding with each other because of this Market.

After my trip, I rate the Grand Central Market a 4 out of 5 for their incredibly lively environment, vendors, and lastly their connection to the people. Overall everything is entertaining and delicious. One thing I would suggest is or them to have more open spots to have extra seating spaces for people.  I’d definitely recommend going to visit this place with friends and family because of the different foods and entertainment that is provided.
